About Me
Alejandro Ramirez was born and raised in Colombia, where his passion for aviation took flight at an early age. In 1996, he entered the Air Force Academy, and by 1999, he had graduated as a military pilot with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science. Alejandro's early career in the Colombian Air Force saw him flying a variety of aircraft, including the T-41, T-37, A-37, and Dornier 328 (D328). These experiences laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors in aviation.
In 2004, Alejandro moved to the United States to further his education and broaden his horizons. He pursued an MBA, graduating in 2006. His career in the U.S. saw him piloting an impressive range of aircraft, including the Cessna 402, Eclipse 500, Lear 60, Hawker 4000, Challenger 604 and 605, and the Global Express. Over the years, Alejandro has successfully accumulated close to 9,000 hours of flying time, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to his craft.
Alejandro is not only a seasoned pilot but also an accomplished entrepreneur. He recently completed a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Harvard University. As the founder of Fligent, an aviation consulting company, Alejandro has been featured in Voyages San Antonio Magazine and Startup Magazine. Currently, he manages a corporate flight department in San Antonio, Texas, where he continues to make significant contributions to the field of aviation.
In addition to his professional achievements, Alejandro is a prolific author. He has written "Essential Entrepreneurship: Deep Soul" and the audio book "Soul Reconnection: 9 Days Journey to Inner Harmony," both of which have been well-received. His latest book, "Alejandro's Journeys: Pilot Memories from The Cokpit," launched on July 1, 2024, and is available at Barnes & Noble. This new book is a testament to his life's adventures and the insights he has gained from his experiences in the sky.
